The DuMOL Dirt is a quarterly publication taking you—issue by issue—into the vineyard, under the ground, into the bottle, and onto your table. Every element, from soil to barrel and everything in between, impacts the quality of the wine.

The more you know, the more you’ll appreciate not just DuMOL, but all wine—and the land and people that grow it. That’s the goal.

Bottle From Vineyard to Bottle

For winegrowers, bottled wine is a sigh of relief—a culmination of seven months of growing and 15+ months of aging, safely home. For you and me, a bottle of wine is also a sigh of relief, but for entirely different reasons.

In the last issue of The DuMOL Dirt, you learned the vineyards define the quality, the winery maximizes it, and the bottle captures it. Therefore, on the day of bottling, everything that came before, not only the season but the years of experience, is poured into the bottle for you to pour into your glass.
